Thank you to all those who entered dogs under me for my
first appointment.
You can
imagine my delight when I was informed that there were 36 IGs
entered. Special mention must be made of Bobbi Selby (Edgeof) for
making the trip from Mudgee to Sydney with 33 of those dogs entered.
It would certainly have been a logistical nightmare. Glad it was not
me cutting all those nails and cleaning all those teeth. It was
great to see the likes of Don Day and Helen Furber pitching in to
help handle Bobbi's dogs. What a pity Carmel Kingston was too unwell
to attend - I believe she had even picked out an outfit to wear
which would not clash with the dogs she was to handle. The dogs
were a credit to you Bobbi. Their temperaments were fantastic,
especially considering they had travelled a long distance to a
showground they had never been to before. They were then handled by
people they met only a short time before the show. I believe that
none of these dogs had even been shown under lights before either.
Their temperaments were a credit to you.
I would not be surprised if Bobbi's entry would make a record as
the largest from a single exhibitor at a show , possibly
anywhere in the world !
After judging drinks and nibblies were shared and there was also the
opportunity to chat with the exhibitors and take photos of the
winners.
Thank you to
the RNSWCC fundraising Committee for giving me the opportunity to
judge at your show. I had a very enjoyable evening. I am told those
attending the show who chose not to enter also enjoyed the evening.
I hope to see you at a future show.
Congratulations again to all the winners.
